Block Party

Opening Reception: Nov 7, 2025, 5-7pm
Closing Reception: Jan 4, 2026, 3-5pm

Artist Statement

These blocks are an extension of my usual grid based two dimensional collages. Each surface differs from the other in either color or design yet combines to create a six part three dimensional mosaic design. Materials come from my collection of antique and handmade papers and ephemera I’ve collected over the years.  These blocks invite touch and curiosity. Displayed in this amazing old safe which once locked away the precious, Block Party offers access and discovery allowing the viewer to handle and rearrange these blocks creating new patterns and relationships. What was once secure and hidden becomes tactile, personal and shared.
