Opening Reception: Nov 6, 5pm - 7pm
Closing Reception: Jan 3, 3pm - 5pm

Words Left Unspoken engages CfC visitors as phone‑booth setting creates a personal, immersive moment where people can reflect on their own unspoken words — a relatable experience that feels intimate and memorable.

Ginger Slonaker grew up in Washington, DC, spent several years in the Netherlands, and has called the Bay Area home for nearly 30 years. Critics have described her art as “whimsical yet twisted”—bright colors and surreal proportions that lure viewers in before darker themes of dysfunction and injustice spring the trap. She holds a BFA and MFA in illustration from the University of Arizona, and her work has appeared in exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe. When she’s not painting, she’s taking in art around the Bay or finding inspiration and solace in nature. She has also spent nearly three decades teaching children to think creatively, ask questions, and make art—helping them become the right kind of influential troublemakers: the ones who challenge assumptions and give society something worth listening to.
