Launched in 2023, the SkateFair program originally consisted of 1 skateboard and a vision, that vision was to create a community around the art that could be showcased on this medium and with that the idea began and the community created. With boards that feature paint and collage work, to sculpted and shaped and even fully playable electric guitar skateboards, the concept was to plant a seed and eventually evolve the art category and grow our network of artists.

Decked Out explores the intersection of street culture, traditional fine art, and contemporary iconography through the versatile medium of the skateboard deck. Curated by Stephen Seymour for the Sequoia Gallery at the Center for Creativity, this exhibition brings together a dynamic group of local artists who transform utilitarian wooden canvases into powerful personal and cultural statements. From vivid pop graphics and intricate line work to reimagined sacred images and dark surrealism, each deck offers a window into the artist's distinct visual voice. Decked Out celebrates the raw energy, mobility, and craftsmanship of skateboard art.
