O Say Can You See... The Soul of Our Nation
CfC Collaborates with the Sanchez Art Center for juried exhibition celebrating America’s 250th Birthday!
On July 4, 2026, America will stand before the world celebrating its 250th birthday. What will we see beyond the fireworks?
Artists have always been at the center of the nation’s soul. Artists are catalysts with the power to move hearts, open eyes, and expand potentials to realize and continue to believe in what is possible. What is the art expressing America now? Show us your images and perspectives that transcend politics, encourage hope, and advance the vision of a just society where all can experience opportunity, and enjoy liberty and happiness.
California artists 18 years and older are invited to submit works that embody and envision their aspirations for the future of our country and its peoples, (re)imaging what we can be. The exhibition will premiere in its entirety at Sanchez Art Center, running from May 29–June 28. Select artists will be invited to show their work at the Center for Creativity in Redwood City, July 2–August 30, where the focus will be on San Mateo County artists.
