Story Momentum Sessions
hosted by Story Coach Eva Barrows
Story Momentum Sessions is an in-person workshop series for writers developing or revising fiction, memoir, and emotionally driven nonfiction manuscripts.
Each session focuses on core storytelling elements including story structure, scene construction, pacing, emotional resonance, and character change. Writers will participate in guided exercises, creative discussion, and story-development activities designed to help move projects forward with greater clarity and purpose.
Participants are encouraged to bring their current works in progress, including scenes, chapters, story questions, and creative challenges they are actively working through.
Sessions are designed to help writers think more deeply about their stories, gain insight into what may be holding a manuscript back, and build momentum within a supportive creative community.
Perfect for writers seeking craft development and an ongoing creative community while working toward a finished manuscript.
Our August session will focus on “Story Hooks & Chapter Endings”
Bring your story’s first pages or a chapter opening and closing pages to discover how to captivate readers from the very first line. Exchange thoughtful feedback with fellow writers using a guided story hook evaluation worksheet, explore techniques for creating chapter endings that keep readers turning pages, and leave with practical revision ideas and renewed momentum for your manuscript.
