Hopes and Dreams for the Future Banner

Artist and curator Belinda Chlouber invites the community to the Center for Creativity on November 22, 2025 from 1-3 pm for a collective act of creation and resistance. In a time of uncertainty, this collaborative banner project offers a space to stitch together our hopes and visions for the future—transforming individual voices into a unified statement of purpose.

Using fabric markers and upcycled fabric strips, participants will write their hopes, dreams, and calls to action on cloth. Chlouber, whose mixed-media work combines traditional needlework with contemporary environmental and social justice themes, will sew these voices together on-site in real time. Watch as disparate threads of community vision become a growing tapestry of shared values—textile activism that honors both the process and the collective result. No art experience necessary, just your thoughts and your presence.

This event coincides with Fall of Freedom, a national two-day open invitation to artists, creators, and communities to celebrate the experiences, cultures, and identities that shape the fabric of our nation.

Free and open to the public. No art experience necessary. No advance registration required.
