Art + Sound on Broadway


Where Redwood City’s musicians, art makers, and curated exhibitions come together to celebrate creativity, inspire community, and ignite the magic of art and sound.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Redwood City Arts Commission, we are thrilled to launch Art + Sound on Broadway, a vibrant celebration of Redwood City’s music, art, and community, hosted right here at the Center for Creativity, located in Hotel Sequoia.


Sept 7 Performers

4:00 PM Alex & Maya Valdivia bring a warm, heartfelt energy to every show. With Alex on guitar and Maya on piano, they share original songs that weave stories from their lives, blending folk, Latin, and indie influences into something uniquely their own.

5:30 PMMelissa Modifer is a powerhouse vocalist and songwriter. Playing a mix of original tunes, to classics we all love, to today’s Top 40!

Sept 17 Performers

4:00 PMAndy Z delights the community with family-friendly music and movement, award-winning songs, storytelling, and puppets that welcomes all to a vibrant concert.

5:30 PM The Corner Laughers write, record and perform original, intelligent indie-pop music. Expect dreamy melodies, enchanting harmonies and thoughtful lyrics. They’ve released numerous critically acclaimed albums with a new one on the horizon soon.

Oct 19 Performers

4:00 PMOl’ Blue Genes is a female trio blending tight harmonies on 50s–70s favorites, originals, and a mix of acoustic rock, mellow country, and timeless standards – featuring guitar, keyboards, harmonica, and recorder.

5:30 PMRedwood Souls takes you back in time where you’ll feel like they’re stomping on a wooden porch with their fingerpicking guitar, mandolin, banjo and upright bass. They love singing old time country, folky, funky, bluesy, grassy originals. It’ll light up your soul.

Oct 19 Community Art Activity

Quirky Cardboard Faces – Create whimsical, expressive faces that spark your imagination and bring a touch of humor to your art with Corinne Friedman.
